Josephine Davis Morris was born into this life on October 26, 1951, in Arkadelphia to John Wesley Davis and Willie Mae Anthony Davis
She was a born again Christian and was always a faithful servant at Changing Lives Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Alex Huell. She was a 1970 graduate of Peake High and married Johnnie Morris, Sr., on October 24, 1972. Her number one priority was family and she was the tie that would bind the family forever together. She preached love, self-respect and respect of others.
She was preceded in death by her husband Johnnie Morris, Sr.; daughter, Danyell Craig (August 10, 2020); siblings, Raymond Davis, James Davis, Willie Davis, James Davis, JR, Clarence Davis, Mattie Sue Buckley and Eula Newborn; niece and nephew, Jeremy and Rosetta Buckley.
Josephine leaves many memories and love with her children: Randy (Deidre) Morris of Alexander, AR, Teresa (Mitchell) Davis of Bryant, AR, Johnnie Morris III of Conway, AR, Brittley (Brice) Newborn of Arkadelphia, AR, Lawrence (Carolyn) Jackson of Arkadelphia, AR, Michael (Tonya) Morris of Sherwood, AR, Tyrone Morris of Little Rock, AR, Alicia Nash of Little Rock, AR, and Angela (Isidro) Cruz of Alexander, AR; grandchildren, Malakhi Morris, Malik Morris, Javian Mitchell, Mitchell Davis, III., Joshua Davis, Jeffery Morris, Jerome Morris, Rachel Morris, BreYonna Brown, Journee Brown, Braxton Brown, Terrance Jackson, Denzell Jackson, Lorenzo Jackson, Dennisha Craig, DeAjha Craig, Michael Ray, DeJawn Blakley, Adrian North, and Ava North; her siblings, Polly Brim and Joseph Davis both of Arkadelphia, AR and Beulah Wiley of Chicago, IL; sisters-in-law, Gloria Davis of Arkadelphia, AR, Vera Merriweather of Sweet Home, AR, and Vangy Morris of Little Rock, AR; a special niece, Jazmine Daniels; a special nephew, Superintendent Robert (Erika) Davis; a special goddaughter, Radreka Perry, as well as, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Public visitation will be Friday, March 26, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home. A service to remember her life will be shared at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 27, 2021, at the CADC - 1305 N. 10th Street with Superintendent Robert L. Davis, eulogist. Interment will be at Piney Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Javian Davis, Joshua Davis, Mitchell Davis, III, Jeffery Morris, Jerome Morris, Apollos Merriweather, Justin Daniels and Jalen Daniels. Honorary pallbearers will be James Davis, Willie Lewis Davis, Gary Davis, Vince Davis, Ken Wiley, Gregory Davis, James Newborn and Michael Davis.
