Kenneth Tyrone Minor

Kenneth Tyrone Minor of Durham, North Carolina formerly of Camden, Arkansas departed this earthly life on January 29, 2023 in Durham, NC.

Tyrone was born on September 12, 1967, in Camden, Arkansas. He was the son of James “Speedy” and Margaret Minor. He joined Bethel AME Church at an early age and was a 1985 graduate of Camden High School. He lived in Rockford, IL for many years and served in the U.S. Army.

He was a caretaker at a Veteran’s Assistance Living Center in Durham, NC.

Tyrone is survived by a daughter, Kierra (Aaron) Moore of Oregon, IL and two grandsons, Aiden and Oliver; sisters Malinda (Claude) Graham and Jamie Minor both of Camden, AR; nieces, Brandi (Vincent) Moore and Brittney Lewis of Camden, AR; aunts, Ethel Harris and Tina Johnson of Rockford, IL; and uncle, Marvin Staff of Beloit, IL, as well as, a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James “Speedy” and Margaret Minor and a brother, Norman Minor.

Service will be held graveside at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 10, 2023 at Eternal Rest Cemetery with Rev. Gregory Nettles, officiating.
