Lillie Faye Turner was born February 21, 1950, in El Dorado AR, to Pearline Beasley and James Staples.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in her early childhood days. Lillie later became a member of First Baptist Church of Hamilton Park in Richardson, Texas after moving to Dallas.
She attended Washington High School in El Dorado AR; she went on to further her education at Henderson State University. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1978 and a Master of Science degree in 1980. After college graduation, Lillie worked at the Department of Human Services in El Dorado AR as a Case Manager; Group Living as a residential supervisor, Arkadelphia Human Development Center, and the Arkadelphia Sheriff’s Department. After relocating to Dallas TX, she enjoyed a fulfilling career working at Walmart for over 20 years.
Lillie enjoyed having a great time with her friends and family. During her young adult years, it was playing card games, dominoes, or enjoying a day trip to the Horse Races, keeping life fun. Among the fun she also enjoyed cooking some of the best roast, dressing, cakes, and pies some have ever tasted; listening to her favorite Gospel songs and dancing in the kitchen, and watching SCI-FI movies and westerns TV shows.
Lillie departed this life on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Las Brisas Rehab and Wellness in Irving, Texas. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and three brothers, Freddie Frazier, Claudie Thomas, and George Beasley. She leaves to cherish her precious memories: two daughters, Eulonda Turner of Irving, TX, Lisa Turner of Dallas TX, and one son Cederick Turner, Sr. (Keasha) of Arkadelphia AR; four grandchildren, Ashley Lavine (Ashton), Robbyn Turner, Cederick Turner, Jr., Malcolm Turner; three great-grandchildren, Anaiya Ford, Amari Ford and Laila Nelson, one brother, Edward Staples (Pat) of Cedar Hill, TX; three sisters-in-law of El Dorado AR, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
