Remembering the life of
Mary Ann Moore
Mrs. Mary Ann Moore began her journey of life on June 30, 1951, in Camden, Arkansas. She was the eldest of seven children. Her parents were Rozell Murphy and Zelmer McElroy whom she proceeds in death.
Mary Ann grew up in Locust Bayou and attended Hampton High School, graduating in May of 1969. Being the oldest, she maintained keeping a close eye on her siblings. She loved and adored them all with every piece of her heart.
After having her first born, Cedric McElroy she wed the love of her life, the late Andrew Jr. Moore in October of 1974. This union brought three special daughters, Yolanda, LaRhonda and Reynelda Moore (proceeds in death).
Mary Ann was a devoted wife and mother. She graciously cared for her children with everything in her. She also enjoyed cooking, going shopping, listening to the blues and spending time with her family. Mary Ann was always an honest woman being exceptionally nurturing with her children. and her smile would always light up a room. Mary Ann was spiritual, keeping faith in God.
She raised her family in Denver, Colorado where they resided for years. Having various jobs, she found a career which she loved at First Interstate Bank of Denver (Wells Fargo, Regulus West), working there for many years.
After the passing of her husband, she relocated back to Camden, Arkansas to be with family and friends. She worked at Lockheed Martin (security), Locust Bayou Nutrition Center and Walmart.
On Sunday, March 23, 2025, God called Mary Ann’s name and requested her presence to his heavenly home. Besides her children, she leaves to cherish her beautiful memories her grandchildren, DayShawn Brown, Ethan McElroy, Devin Bentley, Albany McElroy, and Chloe Bentley. Great Grandchildren: Airyanna, Sincere, and Amaya McElroy. Sister’s – Shelva (Ray) Green, Rose Marie Selvidge, Brenda McElroy, Barbara Ann (Donnie) Newson and Rhonda Anderson. Brother’s- Zelmer (Sharon) McElroy Jr., Robert Broadnax, Jessie Thrower, and Donald Ray (Selma) Green and A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jimmie Williams, Lee Murphy. Tim Johnson, Jamario Bush, LaVansky Moore, and Erinn Hamilton. Honorary Pallbearers will be Cedric McElroy, Robert Broadnax, Jessie Thrower, Dayshawn Brown, Ethan McElroy, Devin Bentley, Khalil Anderson, Kingston Anderson and Deatria Hamilton.
