McKinley Jones, 85 of Holly Grove, passed away on Thursday evening, July 21 at Baptist Health Medical Center in North Little Rock.
McKinley Jones was born September 30, 1936 in Holly Grove, Arkansas to Robert Jones and Callie C. Sutton-Jones. He was the widower of Lendora Davis-Jones.
McKinley was a member of Kingdom Builders Ministries in Holly Grove. He was formerly a member of St. Paul AME Church in Holly Grove for many years.
McKinley worked for many years as a Farmer. He taught himself how to do carpentry, plumbing, electricity, repairing appliances, building and building design by reading “How-To” books and manuals. After retiring from farming, he continued to do his self-taught work around the community.
McKinley received his education from the Holly Grove Public School System.
His parents, Robert Jones and Callie C. Sutton-Jones, his wife, Lendora Jones, who went home to Glory on their 37th anniversary date (May 29, 1998), 1 daughter: Gloria Jones, 6 brothers: Robert L. Jones, Joe W. Jones, Henry L. Jones, Orlando Jones, James E. Jones, 2 sisters: Virda M. Jones Foster and Lula B. Jones-Trammell, and 1 grandson: Anthony Jones all preceded McKinley in death.
Survivors are: six sons: David Jones of Charlestown, RI; Zachary Jones (Violet) of Fort Worth, TX, and Randy Jones (Tyler) of Kennesaw, GA; Ray Jones of Little Rock, AR; Charlie C. McGhee (Jeannie) of Flint, MI and Steve Foster (Sylvia) of Atlanta, GA; three daughters: Arnita Jones of Holly Grove, AR; Abby Jones of Fort Worth, TX and Mary Helen Jones-Cartwright (Homer) of Holly Grove, AR; a brother: John H. Piggee, and two sisters: Pearlean Jones-Miller and Maedean Jones-Scott-Turner of Los Angeles; CA; 21 grandchildren: David: Shantal Jones, Deshawn & DaShaad Jones, and Nia Jones, Zachary: Shamyua Jackson, Zachary Jones, Jr. and Frederick Jones, Randy: Summer Jones, Abby: Carl Jones, Ray, Janet Odi, Mary Helen: Roy Lee Grayson, Tammy Jones, and Tisha Jones, Gloria: Dorenda Jones, Antwan Jones, Antonio Jones, Andre Jones, and Aaron Jones, Charles: TuJuana McGahee-Little and Temika McGahee, Steve: Latonya Foster; 25 great grandchildren, 21 great great grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Kingdom Builders Ministries, 400 Pine Street in Holly Grove with Apostle Victor Johnson, officiating. Interment will be at New Hope Cemetery in Holly Grove by Williams Funeral Home with C.J. Williams LFDIC.
Pallbearers will be. Charles McGahee, Steve Foster, David Jones, Zachary Jones, Randy Jones, and Carl Jones.
