Precious M. Kelly was born on August 25, 1976, to Phyllis Gayle Kelly and Raymond Edward Matlock in Flint, Michigan. At an early age, she made a personal decision to accept Christ as her Savior. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Okolona, Arkansas.
During her years at Delight High School, Precious was a member of Future Homemakers of America (FHA), played basketball, and enjoyed spending time with her friends. She was no stranger to hard work and dedication, providing a helping hand to anyone in need. She enjoyed dancing and listening to R&B music.
Precious didn’t run from a challenge. Precious worked at Petit Jean Poultry in Gum Springs before the facility shutdown. She enjoyed the simple things in life, and providing a loving environment for her son, James K. Williams, Jr. To know Precious, was to love her.
Precious quietly passed from this life on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Phyllis Gayle Kelly and Raymond Edward Matlock; grandparents, Ollie Leeper, Willie Ray Johnson, Mary Carradine, and JC Carradine.
Because love is more significant than death, she will be forever loved by her son, James Kelly Williams, Jr., of Delight, AR; three brothers, Tyrone Kelly of Flint, MI; Rodrick Kelly of Flint, MI; Jonathan (April) McRae of Romulus, MI; and like-a-grandmother, Marcella Johnson. She also leaves a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Arkadelphia, Arkansas with Rev. B. D. Williamson, eulogist.
