Micah 6:8 “He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?” Ronnie Corneilus Lasker transitioned into glory on November 27th, 2019 at Maple Health Care in Hazen, AR. Ronnie was born October 3, 1957 in Conway, AR to Lou Dovie Lasker. He was a happy and fun-loving kid and was lovingly guided into manhood by his “Dad” Joe Pace. Ronnie was raised with strong family and Christian values; he attended church at Mt. Sanai Church of God in Christ. Ronnie received his early education at Oak Grove Public Schools and after graduation he attended Ouachita Baptist University. After becoming a father, Ronnie began working at International Paper Company now known as Georgia Pacific. He worked there over 30 years in many positions including safety technician, line operator, and supervisor. Ronnie later met and married Sharon Hubbard; to this union three children were added to his life. He became a faithful member of Mt. Canaan Baptist Church and served several years as choir president. He loved listening to music and singing, he served until his health failed. After Sharon’s passing, Ronnie married Caithy Gentry and four more children became a part of Ronnie’s life. When Ronnie wasn’t working, he enjoyed gardening, fishing, grilling and hanging with friends playing dominoes. He was well known for his smoked turkey legs and they were always in high demand. Ronnie was also involved in the community and served on the Gurdon Public School Board for several years. After a six-year battle with Alzheimer’s, the Lord called Ronnie home to rest. Ronnie was preceded in death by his mother Lou Dovie Lasker-Pace and his wife Sharon Hubbard Lasker. He leaves to cherish his memory: His wife Caithy Gentry Lasker, his father Joe (Annette) Pace of Little Rock, AR; his children Tekelia (Marvin) McKenzie of Arkadelphia, AR; Crystal (Gary) Freeman of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Dorsey Kelly of Gurdon, AR; Ladonna (Clifford) Goshen and Letitia Ollison of Little Rock, AR; Carlton Ollison of Irving, Texas; Johnathan Gentry, Demario Jones, Staci Johnson, and Orien Sims of Arkadelphia, AR; 20 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren; Sister Gloria (Elvis) Clark of North Little Rock, AR; Brothers Roderick (Malinda) Pace of Goldsboro, NC; and Lincoln (Fallon) Pace of Little Rock, AR; Father-in-Law Troy (Shirley) Gentry of Antoine, AR; Mother-in-Law Margaret Burton of Gurdon, AR; Sisters-in-Law Sherri (Artis) Meeks of Okolona, AR and Shana (Cletis) Knox of Arkadelphia, AR; Brothers-in-Law Troy (Angela) Gentry of Jackson, MS; Aundray Gentry of Mineral Springs, AR; Eric Gentry of Hot Springs, AR and Marquise Gentry of Lake Charles, LA.
