Rose Gale was born on August 17, 1953, the fourth child of ten children born to Joshua Allen and Allie Sue Goodloe Ware. "Gay Gay" as she was affectionately called joined Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, now Greater Pleasant Hill Baptist Church as a youth. Later in life she united with Gennesaret Missionary Baptist Church.
She attended Peake High School and worked for several years at the Hospitality Care Nursing Home. Her outgoing personality was like a magnet that drew others to her company. She loved watching the Young and the Restless, listening to blues and R&B music. Gay Gay enjoyed snacking, talking on the telephone all while being the self proclaimed neighbored watch.
She married David Allen Jones on April 19, 1993. They were married for 16 years until his passing on June 25, 2009. Although they had no children together David loved her children as his own. Gay Gay enjoyed the simple pleasures that life offered. She had a "tell it like it is" outlook because she always "meant what she said and said what she meant". Above all, Gay Gay loved her family and encouraged them to always aspire to higher heights in life.
On Sunday, February 28, 2021, she passed peacefully from this world. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joshua and Allie Sue Ware; her husband, David Allen Jones; her grandparents, Joe & Irene Ware, John Goodloe and Mary Sue Knox; her brother, John Ware; her father and mother-in-law, Booker T. and Annie Mae Jones.
