"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." – Jeremiah 29:11
Rosie Elizabeth Norman, a beloved daughter of Curtis, Arkansas, graced this world with her presence on December 12, 1935, and peacefully completed her earthly journey on Thursday, March 20, 2025. She was the cherished daughter of Robert and Clara (Macon) McClure, growing up in a household rooted in faith, love, and dedication. The McClure family worshiped for generations at Mt. Friendship Baptist Church, where Rosie embraced her faith at a young age under the guidance of Rev. Giles.
A dedicated scholar, Rosie attended Peake High School, where she excelled academically. Her passion for education led her to Arkansas Baptist College, where she earned a degree in elementary education. Committed to lifelong learning, she furthered her studies in library science. Rosie devoted 38 years of service to the England School District, shaping young minds and leaving an indelible mark on the students she taught.
Beyond her career, Rosie was known for her vibrant spirit, warm heart, and impeccable sense of style. She had an undeniable love for shopping, always on the lookout for the best bargains at Kroger, JCPenney, and beyond. She carried herself with grace and elegance, a true reflection of her joyful and lively personality.
Rosie’s greatest joy was her family. She shared a beautiful marriage with her beloved husband, Booker T. Norman, and together they welcomed their cherished daughter, Rory Elizabeth Norman, who became the center of their world. Rosie embraced motherhood with love, wisdom, and devotion, imparting values that will live on through her family.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Booker T. Norman; her parents, Robert and Clara McClure; and her siblings, Joe McClure, Robert McClure, Olivera Martin, Charles McClure, James McClure, and Ferman McClure.
Rosie’s memory will be forever treasured by her daughters, Rory Norman and Diane (Michael) Garman; her bonus grandchildren; Corey, Doran, and Andrew, grandpups: Lilly Grace, Rockkiee, and Saddie Mae, her siblings, Mattie Bailey of Curtis, AR, June McClure of Flint, MI, and Willie McClure Sr. of Flint, MI; her sisters-in-law, Ellie McClure and Mary McClure of Curtis, AR, and Joanne McClure of Hot Springs, AR; her brother-in-law, Landus Martin of Flint, MI; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
