Shannettia Lazola Scott was born on March 14, 1982 to Joyce Ann Webster Magett and Henry Lee Starling, Sr. in Allegan, Michigan. At an early age, she made a personal decision to accept Christ as her Savior. She often attended Munn’s Chapel First Baptist Church in Prescott, Arkansas.
She was a 2001 graduate of Bangor High School. She went on to further her studies at Kalamazoo Valley Community College. She was no stranger to hard work and dedication, providing a full life for her children. She enjoyed the sound of New Edition and 2000’s R&B, with one of her favorite songs being the Percolator by Cajmere. Shannettia was a professional Domino and Spades player. She never missed an episode of Law and Order, a die-hard Prescott Curley Wolves, Atlanta Falcons & Dallas Mavericks fan!
Shannettia didn’t run from a challenge. She enjoyed the simple things in life. Shannettia was a homemaker, providing a loving and safe environment for her children. Her greatest times were spent with her family.
Shannettia quietly passed from this life on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at her home in Prescott, Arkansas.
Because love is more significant than death, she will be forever loved by her children, Eddie Terrell Scott, Jr., Shateeka I. Scott both of Washington; Richard Dantrell Scott of California; Alizaye S. Scott of Michigan and Earnest Bear Spencer, Jr. of Arkansas; four grandchildren; her parents, Joyce Ann Webster Magett of Louisiana and Henry Lee Starling, Sr. of Michigan; seven siblings, Willie B. (Latana) Primer of Kalamazoo, Michigan; Willie C. Primer of Knoxville, Tennessee; Henry Lee Starling, Jr. of Kalamazoo, Michigan; Tyocal Knight, Danntionnette (Javon) Ross both of Shreveport, Louisiana; Reginald Webster of Denver, Colorado; and Shaquita Webster of EastEnd, Arkansas. She also leaves a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives, her buddies, Gail Branch, Shawonia Berry, as well as, other friends.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Munn’s Chapel First Baptist Church in Prescott, Arkansas.
