Simone Aleece Buckley came into the world on November 13, 1996 and those who were touched by her life would never be the same. Her parents were George Buckley and Jennifer Lavonne Scott. Her mother knew right away that Simone would one day make a forever lasting impression in this world. As a baby she was active and exploratory; she warmed up easily to anyone and possessed an infectious giggle and smile that would melt any heart.
Simone was a smart little girl won blossomed into a beautiful young lady. She was a graduate of Conway High School in Conway, Arkansas and attended University of Central Arkansas at Conway where she gained a host of friends. She loved her family and hanging out with her friends. She was a sweet, bubbly spirited young lady. She always tried to put a smile on your face and was very kind hearted. She had a personality that kept you laughing, upbeat and happy. She is a jewel that will be truly be missed.
If ever a title existed “Selfie Queen” she was. Simone loved to Facebook and posting “selfies”, she also used it to keep up with family and friends, send an encouraging message or write inspirational post.
She greeted life and its circumstances with a style and grace of all her own. In the last season of her life on Wednesday, April 3, 2019, Simone Aleece Buckley went home to be with the Lord. She was welcomed her by her mother, Jennifer Lavonne Scott; her grandmothers, Virginia Faye Nnajifor and Alice Buckley; great-grandmother, Leotha Smith and an aunt, Kimberly Leotha Smith.
Those left to relish in her memory are her father, George Buckley; her godparents, Darrell and Nicole Middleton; three brothers, Latraze Stitt, Giorgeo Buckley and O’Bryant Roberts; three sisters, Niya Buckley, Mahogany Buckley and Latreka Phillips; aunts, Dorothy Buckley and Sonya Smith; an uncle, Donald Smith; cousins, Shamair Smith and Jordeen Smith. She also leaves and abundance of family and friends who loved her and added to the richness of her life.
Memorial services to commemorate of her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 26, 2019 at St. Paul AME Church. Private interment will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Family and friends are encouraged to wear Simone’s favorite color pink to the celebration.
