Theotis McKnight, Sr. was born to the union of Nearline and Lorenzo McKnight on September 2, 1953, in South Bend, Indiana. At a young age he relocated to Forrest City, Arkansas.
He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1972 in Forrest City and joined the Navy in 1973. He was a talented carpenter for over 50 years. He was employed for Firestone in 2003 and later retired in 2014.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends.
Theotis departed this life on March 1, 2023, at Nightingdale Nursing and Rehab Center in Arkadelphia, Arkansas to live eternally with his heavenly Father. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nearline and Lorenzo McKnight; brother, Ivory McKnight; and son-in-law, Willie Holloway, Sr.
He leaves not to mourn, but to cherish his fond memories with one daughter, Quentesa Holloway-McKnight; two sons, Theotis McKnight, Jr. and Marcus (Jakeela) McKnight; nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren; three brothers, Lorenzo (Lillian) McKnight, Lawerance McKnight, and Larry McKnight; two sisters, Loistine (Tommie) Hollins and Clara (Donald) Beasley; special friend, Lucille “Lucy” Sinclair and a host of other beloved relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 10, 2023 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Brandon Williamson, the eulogist. Interment will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
