Vera Lou Nelson

Vera Lou Nelson was born in Arkadelphia on November 17, 1956 to Esther Louise Arnold and Laron Nelson. She accepted Christ at a young age. She was a member of Gennesaret Baptist Church.

She was a 1975 graduate of Arkadelphia High School and was a faithful employee of Henderson State University for over 32 years. Vera was spontaneous and loved to shop. She touched many lives either with her laughter or conversation, but mainly just by being herself.

She passed from this life on November 18, 2020, one day after her 64^th birthday. She was preceded in death by her biological father, Booker T. Jones and a brother, David Jones.

Vera Lou leaves memories with her mother, Esther Louise Perry of Little Rock, AR; her father, Laron Nelson of Sacramento, CA; her siblings, Elaine Buckley of Arkadelphia, AR, Stanley (Brenda) Arnold of Chicago, IL, Marvin (Wendy) Miller, Arkadelphia, AR, Shana Person of Little Rock, AR, Lottie (Kenny) Hamlin, Veronica Moore, Stephanie Thomas, and Samuel (Nita) Jones, Jr., all of Arkadelphia, AR; her  god-daughter, Teresa Ware of Arkadelphia, AR and her special friend, Gwen Brooks of Arkadelphia, AR, as well as, a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, November 27, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Rev. Hershel Williams, eulogist.

Bryson Sanders, Temothy Nelson, Tory Buckley, Deadrun Tolefree and Bradford Bragg will serve as pallbearers.
