Mother Willie Mae Goodwin-Johnson was born April 7, 1936 in Smackover, Arkansas to the late William Austin "Buddy" Goodwin and Helen Marie Morris-Goodwin.
She departed this life on August 19, 2021 at her home surrounded by family. She united with the Sweet Home Baptist Church at an early age and remained a faithful member until death. She was a dedicated and faithful usher until her health failed.
She graduated from Smackover Training School in 1955 and worked at multiple Health Care Facilities in this area, as well as, becoming an Independent Health care giver.
On February 6, 1956, she gave her hand in marriage to the late Roosevelt Johnson and to this union God blessed them with four sons.
She was preceded in death by her by her parents, her husband and one sister, Lois Faye Brock.
Willie Mae leaves to cherish her memory her sons: Kelvin (Linda), Frederick, William (Kim), and Steven, Sr. all of Camden, Arkansas; one sister, Marilyn Sue Goodwin- Lee; two brothers, Elmer and Norphlet Goodwin all of Smackover, Arkansas; three granddaughters, Krystal Johnson-French (Keith) of Dallas, Georgia, TaCoya Henderson (Tommy) of Lithonia, Georgia, and Danielle Johnson of Hampton, Arkansas; three grandsons, Kelvin Johnson, Jr. (Krystal) of Maumelle, Arkansas, Steven Johnson, Jr., of Dubach, Louisiana and Sidney Johnson of Camden, Arkansas; great-grandchildren, Cameron, Khia, Kasen, Khristian, Kole, and Trinity.
She also leaves to cherish her memory her extended families-The Goodwin/Tatum/Cowser and the Mayweather/Morris families and a host of other relatives and special friend, Sharon Lee.

A walk-thru public visitation will be Friday, August 27, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church. Services will be held graveside under the direction of Williams Funeral Home Van Buren at Hicks Cemetery on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Wylie George, officiating.
Pallbearers will be Kelvin D. Johnson, Jr., Steven A. Johnson, Jr., Sydney O. Johnson, Gregory Brock, Alvester Moore, and Byron Goodwin. Honorable to mention are Kelvin D. Johnson, Sr., Frederick L. Johnson, William H. Johnson, Steven A. Johnson, Sr., Elmer Goodwin and Norphlet Goodwin.
