Tyson DeVaviousse Stewart

Tyson De’Naviousse Stewart came into the world on March 8, 1999 and those who were touched by his life would never be the same. His parents Roderick Stewart and Constance Matlock knew right away that Tyson would one day make a forever lasting impression in this world. As a baby he was active and exploratory; he warmed up easily to anyone and possessed an infectious giggle and smile that would melt any heart.

As a little boy he was baptized and united with Macedonia Baptist Church in Mountain Pine, Arkansas. He was an active member even though his grandmother made him sing in the choir. He was an exemplary student and athlete at Mountain Pine High School where he graduated in 2017. He played both basketball and football wearing #7 jersey all while playing both offensive/defensive. He was very outgoing and made friends with all races. He knew the value and worth of being a true friend.

Full of laugher, full of jokes he lived life to the fullest. He loved being in the company of family and friends; and was often the center of attention. Many were convinced that he missed his calling as a comedian. Tyson had a great sense of humor and there was never a dull moment when he was around.

Tyson was blessed to be the father of Kadence Miller., whom he affectionately named “Queen”. She was his life and he loved being her father. He took that role seriously and wanted to make sure that she received all of the love and affection she deserved. He was a hard worker and worked construction in Russellville and other parts of Northwest Arkansas.

During all of his twenty-one seasons, he made friends across race, gender, and faith. On Friday, August 21, 2020, in his 21st season of life Tyson passed from time into eternity.

He was preceded in passing by his grandfather, Ray Matlock, Sr.

He leaves his parents, Constance and Michael Porter of Hot Springs and Roderick Stewart of Hot Springs; a daughter, Kadence “Queen” Miller, one child expecting and their mother, Brendan Sheyenne of Mtn. Pine; one sister, LaKisha McNamara of Little Rock and one brother, DeWayne Matlock of Mtn. Pine; his niece, Madelyn McNamamra; his grandparents, Johnny & Connie Lacy of Mtn. Pine and John & Vanessa Stewart of Hot Springs; his aunts, Felecia N. Lacy of Little Rock, Marie “Peaches” Barron of Hot Springs and Malecia Stewart of Hot Springs and a uncle, Ray Matlock, Jr., of Mtn. Pine. He also leaves a host of great aunts, great uncles, cousins and numerous friends.

The pallbearers will be Dafavioun Haywood, Zachary Barnett, Colby Strom, Josh Zamudio, Taylor Muse, Jessie Vasquez, Shannon Thomas, Jeremiah Walker, Collin Smith, Cobra Barnett, Jace Chacon, Chance Godwin, Kayden Anzaldua and Kai Moore.
